I’m Abid Jamil, a software engineering leader based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Over more than a decade, I’ve worked across hospitality technology, e-commerce, logistics, mobility, automotive classifieds, fitness SaaS and education.
At Gathern, I lead engineering initiatives across Growth and Fintech. My work connects scalable architecture, payment platforms and engineering performance with the needs of the business and the people using our products.
My career includes engineering and leadership roles at Kahunas, DubiCars, Jugnu Tech and GrocerApp, alongside my work at Anaar. Across those environments, I’ve learned to make ownership clear, help teams grow and build systems people can depend on.
Beyond my day-to-day engineering work, I’m an author, researcher and former university lecturer. Through books, talks and mentoring, I share lessons that help engineers build their skills, develop as leaders and make their contributions visible.
